I captured this shot (from the computer screen) just moments after the Olympic Flame (Outdoors) ignited.

I guess
I haven't decided if I want Canada to lose more than I want the U.S. to win. Its not that I have anything against Canada, I just think a few of their players are deadbeat overrated brats, starting with Rich Nash and Jerome Ilgilna.

Right Let's try to be diplomatic.
Try to remember that the olympics is just a game. It's the only one that pits country against every other country in the world. It's okay to cheer for someone from another country because, singularly, they are the best in the world. That's a good thing.
Hockey is another story, apparently. I was around for the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team. Those guys were special. We'll never see them again. They were kids pitted against giants. They won anyway.
Today, we see the two countries in the world that value the game of hockey: Canada and the United States. We'll probably beat you. But I'm just saying that because I am from the U.S. I don't care who wins. I just hope it's one of the two. Hockey is more of a regional sport. It was born here and belongs here where things freeze and allow for skating. I can't imagine Brazil winning the gold in this sport. It would somehow taint it.

Nice try
but China has 4 times the people of the U.S. and we're drop kicking them in the mouth too.
And by the way, Norway has 1/8th the amount of people Canada has, but more gold medals.
The Canadian government predicted 35 medals for team Canada, not me.

Medal count
It would be shocking if the US with a population of probably 10 times that of Canada did not get more medals then Canada, by quite a bit. However, the ratio of gold and silver to bronze tells a different story! GO CANADA!

Can you imagine
if by chance, they don't medal? Russia will be no easy task nor will Sweeden.
I got a feeling the U.S. will take Silver (again) and Canada will take home the bronze in hockey. But gold in women's, and everyone says they will probably be taking women's hockey out of the olympics since very few countries play women's hockey.

Canada Vs. U.S. last night
Anyone catch the final score, my tv is broke.
I was reading about this $120,000,000 "Own the Podimum" program Canada has. Very nice of them to let the U.S. lease it from them for a couple weeks.
I also heard that this same program predicted 35 total Canadian Medals. All joking aside, what other events can Canada medal in besides men's and women's hockey and curling?
I think the U.S. surprised alot of people with their success on the slopes.

medal count
yeah, at least Canada should win hockey gold for both the men and women. Probably curling too. Other than that.....I can't see them finishing in the top 5 unless they can count the medals of all the hockey team members

Sako whatever.....
For some reason when I entered that comment it was posted numerous times. At least it gave Dinosaur something to post about. Wonder how many posts will be generated by this post.

I'm not real sure about.....
that, Cornelius. The one thing I am certain about is that someone should take the bottle of steroids away from SAKO. He seems to be reliving the same story over and over again. He has gone beyond redundancy. When you deliver the same message five times in a row, you are either unbelievably drunk and impossibly animate, or delusional to the point of steroidal overdose. Vast quantities of testosterone will not produce the torrent of illogic necessary to produce the affect we have seen here; destined to become the "SAKO Effect" from this day forward.

Better quality steroids
Guess the Canadians had better find out what the U.S. uses for screwing up steroid detection. Works for them. Lol

Did someone forget to tell Canada the Olympics have started?? Man are we smoking you guys......
I knew when Canada screwed up the torch lighting, that was not a good sign of things to come. But, at least Canada has more medals than Latvia.

Make that 14!!! The most gold ever by ANYONE!!!
