Ogoki Frontier – Still Simply Amazing! Okay, close your eyes. Ah, c’mon, just do it. Nothing weird is gonna happen, I promise! Now, imagine you’re backing your vehicle up to a float plane dock on Mattice Lake, five miles south of Armstrong, Ontario.
If you’re hunting a big game animal and you want to get the animal to stop, all you have to do is make some type of foreign sound. I’ve stopped a lot of deer by whistling at them, even after I startled them and they were running. I even yelled at a deer once and it stopped to see what the hell that weird sound was. That was a huge mistake…
If you are hunting big game with a rifle you must be able to make a 200- 300 yard shot. I don’t know about you, but I could NOT make a 300 yard shot without a rest, especially, just before dark, when I’m freezing cold, my heart is pounding and shaking like a leaf. Come to think about it, I don’t think I could make even a 150 yard shot without a rest!
I do a lot of unguided fly-in fishing trips each year and before I head out fishing, I always check to see that the outboard motor has NOT been left in the “locked” position. I want the outboard to be in the “unlocked” position, meaning that at any time I can lift the shaft and prop out of the water.
If you fish with a lot of artificial lures like I do, you’ll have a bunch of crankbaits, topwaters and spoons in your tackle box that have two or sometimes even three treble hooks on them. If you catch a fish and its mouth is closed tightly on all three hooks of one treble hook, you have a problem. And, so does the fish.
One of the most common mistakes I see new archery shooters making is gripping the bow too tightly while they’re pulling back the string and while they’re aiming. This is one of the things that I was doing wrong until a friend of mine pointed it out to me.

Pork is one of the few meats that I buy from the store these days. If there were any wild hogs around here, I’d likely never buy pork… but there isn’t. And, I love pork! This recipe would easily work with wild boar and if you’ve never eaten, it, try it. It is excellent.

Ingredients

1 pork tenderloin
1 apple – Note: Both Granny Smiths & Golden Delicious have great flavour and hold up well, but you could use any kind of apple provided it’s not too soft

This is a great way to use up some of the ground venison or moose burger that seems to stay in the freezer a little longer than it probably should. And, besides… everyone loves spaghetti and meatballs. Or, rigatoni and meatballs… or, penne and meatballs… or… or…
